Buying a software package these days may seem to be a straightforward
prospect, and CDR aim to make it as easy as possible. In this section
of the site we take you through the main steps of the buying process.
Options
We sell the full range of MapInfo software products as well as other
products and services. We have chosen not to sell on-line as there
are many options and price structures available and we want to make
sure that we give you the best deal possible.
There are upgrade prices and Volume Licence Prices (VLPs) as well
as Annual Maintenance and Support options. It is likely that you
will need specific digital mapping data to go with your GIS - and
there is a lot to choose from. Don't worry because we are here to
assist at each step of putting together a package to meet your requirements.
Annual Maintenance and Support
Annual Maintenance is a useful mechanism for delivering regular
software updates automatically for a known annual fee. Quite often,
the cost to upgrade software can be greater and the timing unknown.
An Annual Support package can be established to offer assistance
when you get stuck! Sometimes you can have a combined Support and
Maintenance option and sometimes these will be separate options
and occasionally they will be mandatory - it depends upon the product.
Training
CDR's 1 and 2 day training course schedule is published on our
Training page. Discounts are available if you are booking more than
one place. Please call our sales team to reserve a place before
booking. This is the only time where we insist upon payment first,
ahead of delivery.
Data Capture and Project Work
CDR undertake projects ranging from £250 to £250,000.
Obviously, we will approach any given task appropriately, according
to the specification of requirements. We aim to work in partnership
with our clients to achieve the excellent results that we are renowned
for. Larger projects are usually set-up with staged payments and
whatever the situation, we work within well-defined Quality Plans
for every Project.
Quotation
Let us know what you are looking for and we can put together
a number of options that will help us both to reach a decision of
what is the best way forward. Quotations usually last for 30 days
and we don't mind producing new ones if your decision process takes
longer.
Order
An Official Purchase Order is a key step in securing the goods
or services that you require. As CDR operate a Quality Management
System, it is important that we establish our terms and conditions
of sale. Let us know if your delivery or invoice addresses are different
on your order too, please.
Payment
We accept cash, cheque or BACS payment in Pounds Sterling (UK Currency). Alternatively, we can establish
a 30 day credit facility for qualifying organisations.
We no longer accept Credit Cards
Delivery
Upon receipt of an Official Purchase Order and an agreed payment
mechanism, we shall ship out your products the same or next day,
if it is in stock. Otherwise, standard products are shipped within
5-7 working days. Paper licences and contracts sometimes take a
little longer.
